Myths die hard, and the history of the 20th century is no exception to this rule. Even today, we hold popular beliefs that we take for Evangelical truths. Thus, we believe that Hiroshima caused Japan to surrender, that the Marshall Plan saved Europe, that Adolf Hitler was a military genius, or that Mao Zedong was a necessary evil for China’s modernization. Of course, these judgements contain some truth; but, too broad-stroked to be accurate, they contradict the historical reality by denying its complexity. What if the truth was slightly different? Through an exploration of great national or international myths, this full archive documentary collection revisits the key moments of the 20th century with a new perspective in order to provide a new, smarter and more subtle interpretation, bringing elements to light that have been forgotten or sometimes overshadowed.

"Les Coulisses De L'Exploit" was a French television program of sports information created by Jacques Goddet and Raymond Marcillac, and broadcast on RTF Television then on the first channel of the ORTF from December 13, 1961 to August 16, 1972. The principle of this program is to report on sports news but also to meet men and women performing exceptional feats. These actors with golden voices have marked several generations of audiences, in movies, on TV, and even on the Internet. 10 of them have generously accepted to talk about their job as actors specialized in dubbing, their experiences, but also their different points of view.

On May 8, 1945, Nazi Germany was defeated. Over-publicized, the Nuremberg trials sounded a few months later as the promise to purge Germany of a devastating ideology. But this task will quickly become wishful thinking. Despite their initial intentions, the Allies already know that it will be impossible to deal with the millions of Germans who have gravity around the Nazi Party. The onset of the Cold War soon pushed denazification into the background. Anxious not to deprive Germany of its vital forces for its reconstruction, the Americans and their allies reduce the purification to a simple questionnaire. In the Soviet zone, the hunt for former Nazis is above all a means of repression against opponents of the new regime. In the 1960s, German youth rediscovered Nazi crimes and demanded accountability from their parents.
